## Description

The Melbourne Cake Company is a bespoke cake studio founded by Lisa Sims in Melbourne, Derbyshire. Since 2009, Lisa has designed and made wedding cakes for couples across Derby, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and beyond. Combining a background in design and account management with careful craftsmanship, she creates individual centrepieces that complement each couple’s venue, celebration and personal style.

The company offers wedding cakes in a range of finishes, including traditional Lambeth piping, semi-naked designs, Belgian chocolate ganache and elegant iced styles. Designs can feature details such as delicate florals, fresh berries, refined textures, lacework, hand-painted motifs and wafer paper artistry. Celebration cakes are also available.

Lisa guides clients from the initial consultation through design, delivery and set-up, with an organised process and clear communication intended to make the experience straightforward. Her approach balances creativity with thoughtful planning, focusing on cakes that are visually distinctive and enjoyable to eat. Couples can explore a portfolio, learn about the process and flavours, and enquire about creating a cake tailored to their celebration.
