## Description

Melinda French Gates is a philanthropist, businesswoman, author, and global advocate for women and girls. For more than 25 years, she has championed efforts to create a healthier, more equal future. She leads Pivotal, a group of organizations she founded to accelerate progress for women and young people in the United States and around the world. Previously, she founded and co-chaired the Gates Foundation, helping set its direction and priorities for over two decades.

Her work includes books and publishing initiatives that share ideas for advancing equality. The Next Day: Transitions, Change, and Moving Forward draws on personal experiences, including parenthood, grief, and leaving the Gates Foundation, to offer readers perspective and guidance through major life changes. Her other bestselling book is The Moment of Lift.
