## Description

Melty is a free Windows app from Stella Montis Inc. that helps players discover, install, and play mashups and mods built around games they already own. A mashup combines games into a new experience—for example, playing Skyrim as a Minecraft character. With Melty, players can press Play to download a mashup, install the files it needs, and launch the game without managing setup themselves. When uninstalled, the app restores files to their previous state.

Multiplayer mashups include invite links that players can share privately with friends or use to open a public lobby. Melty also supports creating and publishing custom mashups with the help of AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex: users provide Melty’s instructions and describe what they want to make. The platform offers verified mashups and mods at no cost, and checks uploads for dangerous files. Players need to own the games required by each mashup; if a game is missing, Melty directs them to its store.
