USI MEM is a brand that encompasses the MEM Summer Summit, a transformative event aimed at fostering dialogue and collaboration among young change-makers from the Middle East Mediterranean region. Organized by Università della Svizzera italiana, the summit brings together participants from diverse backgrounds to develop innovative approaches and projects that transcend physical and cultural boundaries in the MEM region. With a focus on creating a common vision for the future, the MEM Summer Summit empowers young people to become active in their communities and propose inclusive solutions to critical issues. Through workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities, participants gain valuable insights and build a supportive network of like-minded individuals. Additionally, USI MEM extends its impact beyond the summit by presenting new initiatives, such as the Bites of Transfoodmation event in Rome and the Cultural Narratives - New Horizons project. These initiatives further contribute to shaping a positive future by addressing global challenges and exploring the role of culture and creativity in societal reconstruction. USI MEM is driven by the belief that the youth has the power to drive positive change and create a better region for all. By providing a platform for collaboration and exchange, it is transforming the narrative and fostering a sense of unity among young change-makers in the MEM region.
