## Description

MEMORIAL Deutschland is a nonprofit organization focused on historical remembrance, human rights, and civil society. Its work connects the study of Soviet-era repression and totalitarianism with attention to present-day political persecution and conflict. The organization shares historical research and personal testimonies about topics including the Gulag, forced deportations, labor camps, and the experiences of people affected by Stalinism. It also documents contemporary events through its extensive “Voices of the War” coverage, featuring interviews and accounts from people in Ukraine, alongside reports, videos, podcasts, photographs, and archival materials.

MEMORIAL Deutschland offers educational and cultural resources for readers seeking to understand history and its relevance today. Its activities include news, public events, and projects on historical investigation, human rights, and civil society. The organization also invites people to take part by becoming members, donating, supporting political prisoners through letters, or contributing through planned gifts. As part of the international MEMORIAL network, it provides a platform for preserving individual memories, informing the public, and encouraging engagement with human rights and historical responsibility.
