## Description

Men Behaving Dadly (MBD) is a charity run for and by dads and male carers, providing a welcoming place for them to spend meaningful time with their children. Based at Greenacres Community Centre in Oldham, the organisation began with six pilot sessions on 29 January 2000 and has continued to support families through shared activities and community connection.

MBD offers safe, supported and creative play sessions for children aged 0 to 14 and their dads or male carers. Activities include arts and crafts with weekly themes, board games, toys and building play, alongside refreshments such as juice, tea, coffee, fruit, crisps and biscuits. The group also arranges trips and local outings to places such as the zoo, play centres and cinema, as well as picnics in the park.

Through play and time together, MBD aims to strengthen relationships between children and their carers, build confidence in parenting, support self-esteem and help reduce the isolation some dads experience.
