Mental Health Reform

Mental Health Reform is Ireland's leading national coalition dedicated to driving progressive reform in mental health services and supports. With a strong membership of 80 organizations and thousands of individual supporters, they provide a unified voice to government, agencies, and the general public on mental health issues. Established in 2006 as The Irish Mental Health Coalition, Mental Health Reform initially focused on holding the government accountable for implementing Ireland's mental health policy, A Vision for Change, launched in the same year.

Over time, their membership expanded to include organizations with grassroots involvement to ensure the voices of mental health service users were heard. Today, Mental Health Reform coordinates and develops policies, conducts research and innovation, and advocates for accountability in the mental health system. Their vision is for an Ireland with accessible, effective, and inclusive mental health services and supports, and they strive toward this vision through collaboration, inclusivity, and staying informed by best practices and human rights standards
