## Description

The Secrétariat d’État chargé de la Mer is launching the La Mer embauche campaign to promote and enhance the diversity of marine careers and training opportunities. With the potential for one million jobs by 2030, the maritime economy offers a wealth of possibilities and professional prospects. From traditional fishing techniques to cutting-edge technologies for decarbonizing ships, the maritime sector encompasses a wide range of rewarding and exciting professions. Merging the objectives of modernizing the industry and supporting the diversity of our maritime economic fabric, the Secrétariat d’État chargé de la Mer aims to attract and recruit talent through the La Mer embauche campaign. The campaign highlights a comprehensive range of maritime careers, from iconic roles such as fisherman and marine captain to lesser-known positions such as marine biologist, mechanic, naval architect, and boilermaker. With almost 500,000 employees, this field provides a dynamic and promising job market. French institutions, including maritime vocational schools, the National Maritime Academy, and accredited training centers, offer excellent programs to prepare future professionals. The campaign will feature a teaser clip showcasing the sea as more than just a recreational space but also a realm of career opportunities. Additionally, online and offline initiatives will highlight the maritime professions through videos, articles, and practical information on career paths and training programs. Students, young professionals, and parents will have access to resources such as job profiles, interactive maps of maritime training institutions, and campaign materials to help them make informed decisions about pursuing careers in the maritime industry.
