## Description

Meridian Energy is New Zealand’s largest renewable energy generator and a prominent retailer, committed to creating a sustainable future through Clean Energy for a Fairer and Healthier World. Generating approximately 30% of the country's electricity from 100% renewable sources, including hydro power and wind farms, Meridian provides electricity to over 350,000 residential and business customers under its own brand and the Powershop brand.

In addition to energy retailing, Meridian plays an active role in community support and sustainability initiatives, such as the Energy Wellbeing Programme, which aids households in energy hardship. Their Community Decarbonisation Fund funds projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions, showcasing their dedication to environmentally-friendly practices.

Looking toward the future, Meridian is investing in seven new renewable projects by 2030 to meet increasing electricity demand driven by the electrification of transport and homes. Through innovative energy solutions and a commitment to social responsibility, Meridian Energy is dedicated to fostering a green economy for generations to come.
