## Description

Personal Finance: I’m in Charge is a financial education program designed to help teenagers and young adults build financial independence and make informed, responsible choices. Developed as an educational initiative by the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the program offers neutral, objective learning that addresses money-related taboos and encourages choices aligned with participants’ values.

Its free, flexible online courses cover essential topics across five learning pathways: getting started with financial services and earning money; budgeting, spending and managing credit or debt; saving and investing, including registered savings plans; planning major projects such as moving or pursuing studies; and managing financial stress, insurance, civic responsibilities, digital security and consumer rights. Interactive quizzes, videos, diagrams and practical activities make the material engaging and accessible on computers and mobile devices.

Participants can explore modules at their own pace or take part in in-person and online workshops led by accredited trainers in Quebec and Ontario.
