## Description

Mesh Ability Academy is a family-owned and operated disability support service focused on helping people live more independent, fulfilling lives. Based in Launceston, Tasmania, the organisation coordinates support across Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Its work centres on individual goals, personal choice and meaningful participation in the community, while also supporting families through the NDIS.

Services include personalised NDIS support coordination, hands-on support work, mentoring, respite and one-to-one assistance. Mesh helps participants connect with suitable supports and matches them with workers whose skills and approach fit their needs. Support activities are tailored to participants’ interests and goals, and may encourage practical skill development, confidence, engagement with family and community, and greater independence.

Mesh describes its approach as compassionate, person-centred and collaborative, with an emphasis on respectful relationships, consistent communication and genuine care. The team aims to create welcoming, supportive environments where people can build capacity and take part in activities that matter to them.
