## Description

Metalenz is a fabless semiconductor company that aims to revolutionize optical sensing using metasurface technology. Their mission is to empower billions of devices with new information by changing the way people and machines interact with and understand the world. Metalenz emerged in 2021 as the first company to commercialize meta-optics, marking the introduction of this revolutionary technology into real-world devices. In 2022, they partnered with semiconductor manufacturing leader STMicroelectronics to launch meta-optics into consumer devices for the first time. This breakthrough technology enables access to whole new sets of information that conventional optics cannot provide, improving performance with simpler, smaller modules. Metalenz's portfolio includes products like Orion Pattern Projectors, Gemini Dual Pattern Projectors, and the PolarEyes Polarization Imaging System, which cater to markets such as consumer electronics, automotive, and smart robotics. With a focus on precision engineering, Metalenz is simplifying the system, consolidating the supply chain, and proliferating advanced sensing capabilities.
