## Description

The Meteoritical Society, established in 1933, is an international organization dedicated to promoting research and education in planetary science. With a focus on the studies of meteorites and other extraterrestrial materials, the society aims to enhance our understanding of the origin of the solar system. As a globally recognized institution, our members span across 52 nations and include scientists, amateur scientists, and enthusiasts. The society plays a vital role in the field by organizing annual meetings and workshops, publishing leading journals like Meteoritics and Planetary Science, and supporting young planetary scientists. We also honor outstanding scientific and service contributions through various awards. Additionally, we approve all new meteorite names and classifications, recording them in the Meteoritical Bulletin. By joining the Meteoritical Society, you become part of a vibrant community, gaining access to cutting-edge research and engaging in discussions with like-minded individuals. Membership offers benefits such as our peer-reviewed journal, product discounts, and the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of planetary science. Join us today and be a part of our mission to explore the mysteries of the universe.
