## Description

METRICS is a brand that focuses on the evaluation and testing of robots in international competitions. The project aims to organize challenge-led robotics competitions in four priority areas: healthcare, inspection and maintenance, agri-food, and agile production. By developing an evaluation framework based on metrological principles, METRICS ensures a rigorous and unbiased assessment of the competing robots' reliability. The competitions include field evaluation campaigns in physical environments and cascade evaluation campaigns on datasets to engage with the AI community. METRICS brings together 17 expert partners in robotics competition and metrology, with complementary testing facilities and networks in the four priority areas. With a focus on industrial relevance and compliance with ethical and socio-economic principles, METRICS aims to promote robotics systems to the general public and contribute to the sustainable network of European robotics stakeholders.
