## Description

CYCLOPS, the Cyprus Center for Land Open Seas and Port Security, is a premier training facility located in Larnaca, established by the Republic of Cyprus in collaboration with the United States. Officially inaugurated on April 6, 2022, CYCLOPS aims to enhance security capacity-building across Cyprus, the EU, and the Eastern Mediterranean. The center specializes in non-military security training programs, focusing on areas such as customs and export control, port security, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense, and cybersecurity.

Supported by funding from the U.S. State Department's Export Control and Related Border Security program, CYCLOPS boasts state-of-the-art facilities and employs a "Train the Trainers" model, empowering Cypriots and officials from partner nations to take on trainer roles. CYCLOPS has established partnerships with various U.S. agencies and UN programs, facilitating training for participants from Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, and other countries.
