Founded in 1978, the registered association brings together around 56 pilots aged 9 to 72 and works to promote model flying, share skills, and encourage youth participation. Members fly a range of aircraft, including powered models, gliders, helicopters, and warbirds, with an authorized maximum takeoff weight of 25 kilograms. The club’s flying site is on Thierkenweg in Südlohne. It features a maintained 5,000-square-metre grass runway and a paved takeoff and landing strip, opened in 2019. Facilities include parking, work tables with electricity for model setup and battery charging, a shelter, and a clubhouse with toilets, a shower, and central heating. Camping with water and electricity may be arranged with the club’s board. MFC Condor Lohne also supports young enthusiasts through youth activities, building workshops, and introductory opportunities to learn RC flying.
