## Description

The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF) is a vibrant arts festival dedicated to exploring the intersection of creativity and mental health. Held annually, this year's festival runs from October 4 to 22, 2023, centered around the thought-provoking theme of 'Revolution'. SMHAF serves as a crucial platform for individuals across Scotland to create and share artistic expressions that address mental health issues, showcasing how art can nurture mental well-being.

In 2024, the festival will return from October 10 to 27, embracing the theme of 'In/Visible', where participants can engage in diverse events, including performances, exhibitions, and writing competitions. SMHAF is also committed to public engagement, offering resources like "Performing Anxiety" to support those interested in creating mental health-focused artistic projects. The festival encompasses various artistic formats and invites proposals for compelling live events, fostering a community dialogue about mental health through the arts. Through its initiatives, SMHAF actively collaborates with artists and organizations to inspire change and promote understanding surrounding mental health.
