## Description

Magyar Innováció és Hatékonyság Nonprofit Kft. (MI6) is a Hungarian nonprofit organisation focused on green-economy policy, strategy development and energy efficiency. Active since 2011, it has established an international profile, with its work recognised by the European Commission, the United Nations and partners in several countries.

MI6’s flagship initiative is the Virtual Power Plant Program (VEP), which brings together businesses, households, municipalities and international participants to promote energy awareness and achieve measurable energy savings. The programme also offers awards and application opportunities for energy-conscious and energy-efficient companies, institutions, local governments and schools, alongside regional virtual power plant initiatives in Hungary and abroad.

The organisation’s services and projects extend to climate strategy and SECAP development, building-energy potential assessments for small and medium-sized enterprises, and carbon allowance accounting models. MI6 also develops educational materials for schools and kindergartens, including resources on energy and waste. Through its programmes, advisory work and partnerships, the organisation supports communities and organisations in understanding sustainability and improving energy performance.
