## Description

Michigan Humanities is a Michigan-based organization that supports and shares humanities programs across the state. Its work connects residents with ideas, stories, and cultural experiences through grants, community initiatives, events, and educational resources. The organization offers Arts and Humanities Touring Grants, MI Museums Grants, and Gathering Grants, helping bring humanities projects and activities to communities. Its programs include the Great Michigan Read, Poetry Out Loud, Community Conversations, and the Great Michigan Gathering, alongside lectures and partner events held at libraries, museums, and other venues.

Michigan Humanities also provides resources for applicants and shares stories and perspectives through its blog and MIStories podcast, which features conversations with authors and others connected to its programs. The organization publishes annual reports and information about its impact, history, staff, and board, and provides accessibility resources. Michigan Humanities invites funded project organizers to submit events for its calendar and offers ways for the public to sign up for its e-newsletter or donate. Its office is listed in Marshall, Michigan.
