## Description

The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) is Malaysia’s only home-grown professional accounting body. Established in 1958, it has developed professional accountants through examinations since 1963, supporting students and candidates on their path into the accountancy profession. The Institute offers professional programmes and examinations, including the Professional Stage Examination, MICPA Conversion Programme, and the MICPA x CA ANZ Qualifying Programme. The joint programme, delivered with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, provides a pathway to membership as a Certified Public Accountant in Malaysia (CPA (M)) and a Chartered Accountant in Australia and New Zealand (CA (ANZ)), subject to the programme requirements. MICPA also provides practical experience guidance, candidate resources, technical training, events, publications and professional development initiatives. Its services include candidate registration and support, membership information, exam scheduling and results, awards, sponsorships, and resources for employers and approved training organisations. In addition, MICPA works with professional partners on initiatives such as the National Annual Corporate Reports Awards, promoting high standards in corporate reporting and the accountancy profession.
