## Description

COMPAC 2026 is the brand for Costa Rica’s XIX Congress of Microbiology, Parasitology and Clinical Pathology, a scientific meeting focused on sharing knowledge and advances relevant to public health, clinical diagnostics and biotechnology. Declared of Institutional Interest by the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), the congress will take place from October 8 to 10, 2026, at the Costa Rica Convention Center. It brings together professionals, researchers, academics, students and industry representatives from Costa Rica and abroad.

The program covers four broad areas: microbiology, including bacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology and emerging diseases; biotechnology and industry, including devices, food, water and quality management; clinical analysis, spanning hematology, clinical chemistry, blood banking, toxicology and immunology; and genetics and molecular biology, including genomics and bioinformatics. COMPAC 2026 offers registration, opportunities to submit presentations and scientific work, pre-congress workshops, and sponsorship opportunities for companies and institutions. The event is jointly organized by Costa Rican professional, academic and scientific organizations in microbiology, clinical chemistry, parasitology and hematology.
