MicroFinance Network (MFN) is a global community of leading microfinance players, consisting of 25 members who are serving over 100 million clients in 23 different countries. This network brings together commercial banks, financial institutions, and NGOs that share a common belief: establishing sustainable and profitable institutions to serve more clients. The MFN members strive to achieve both financial and social goals by developing innovative business models. They aim to be models of what is possible in the microfinance industry, constantly sharing ideas, experiences, and innovative solutions to overcome the challenges they face. Founded in April 1993, the MFN emerged from a meeting hosted by BancoSol in Bolivia, which examined the transformation of PRODEM, an NGO, into BancoSol. From there, 16 participants recognized the value of continued dialogue and created the MicroFinance Network. The MFN has received praise from its partner testimonials, with professionals emphasizing the network's brainstorming capabilities, friendly professional environment, and its unique consolidation of worldwide microfinance experience.
