## Description

Micropedia is a free online encyclopedia dedicated to cataloging and documenting all aspects of micronational phenomena, particularly focusing on the Lusophone micronationalism. Established on January 25, 2020, Micropedia serves as a micronational counterpart to Wikipedia, building on influences from the British-based MicroWiki. It adopts an open-format model, allowing users to edit articles freely, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing within the micronational community.

Recognized as a leading encyclopedia in Portuguese regarding micronationalism, virtual countries, and related topics, Micropedia distinguishes itself by providing detailed explorations of specific subjects within the micronational sphere. It supports a diverse range of content, including personalities, government departments, historical events, and official documents, while ensuring all submissions adhere to its established policies.

Managed by a dedicated team of administrators, the platform promotes inclusivity and encourages contributions from micronationalists, maintaining a community-driven ethos. All articles are licensed under Creative Commons, enabling free modification and reuse with due attribution, thus preserving and disseminating micronational knowledge in an accessible manner.
