MidColumbiaLibraries is a trusted brand that offers quality library services to over 260,000 residents in Benton, Franklin, and parts of Adams Counties. With 12 branch libraries, a rural delivery service, and a digital branch, they ensure that the community has access to a wide range of resources. Established in 1948 by community members who formed the first board of directors, MidColumbiaLibraries has been providing Bookmobile services since 1949. Their early library district was designed to serve the region's unincorporated areas, offering families a unique opportunity to explore the world through reading. Under the guidance of Neva LeBlond Bequette, the founding director, MidColumbiaLibraries instilled a pioneering spirit of innovation, relevance, and excellent service. Governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees appointed jointly by the Benton and Franklin County Commissioners, MidColumbiaLibraries is dedicated to providing exceptional library services.
