## Description

Middleground is a volunteer-led literary and art magazine created for mixed-race people and the many identities, stories, and voices within the community. Its mission is to help mixed-race creatives explore identity, share their work, and find resources, while putting the narrative around mixedness into the hands of the community itself. Described as a place “where all roots meet,” Middleground publishes two issues each year, featuring writing and art by mixed-race contributors from around the world. Readers can explore current and past issues, alongside books and editorial features. The magazine also invites people to submit work, pitch ideas, and connect with its editors. Those interested in supporting its work can volunteer, enquire about team opportunities, or donate to help sustain the mission. Middleground offers a newsletter for readers who want updates and provides a point of contact for questions and involvement. Since launching in 2019, it has released eight issues and published work by 108 writers, poets, and artists, with its issues read more than 8,700 times.
