## Description

Midwife to Mother is the private midwifery practice of Chantel Letertre, an endorsed midwife serving Sydney, the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas from the Lower Mountains. A registered midwife with experience in public and private hospitals and midwifery education, Chantel provides personalised care for families planning either a home or hospital birth. Her approach centres on informed choice, respectful support and confidence in each woman’s ability to make decisions that suit her needs.

Care is delivered one to one in the client’s home, with regular antenatal visits, birth planning and 24/7 on-call support during labour. For home births, Chantel provides a birth pool and equipment for monitoring and emergency response, with a second midwife attending as labour nears its end. She also has visiting midwifery rights at Westmead Public Hospital, allowing her to remain the primary midwife if a transfer is needed.

Postnatal visits continue at home until the baby is six weeks old and can include feeding guidance, newborn checks, recovery monitoring, emotional support and referrals.
