## Description

Mwanamke Initiatives Foundation (MIF) is a community development organization based in Zanzibar, Tanzania. It works to improve community wellbeing through a holistic approach that brings together education, health, and socio-economic support, with particular attention to women and other vulnerable community members.

In education, MIF partners with secondary schools, supports volunteer teachers, and gathers information about teachers and students. It also trains students who do not complete their studies and provides startup kits, while following their progress toward self-employment. Its health work includes reproductive and mental health education, services, training, and guidance, including support for people affected by substance addiction. To strengthen livelihoods, MIF collects information about community needs, offers targeted loans, and monitors how the funds are used.

The foundation also promotes community participation and invites individuals to contribute through donations and other forms of support. Its programs and partnerships aim to connect practical assistance with longer-term development. Through these activities, MIF seeks to expand opportunities, support healthier lives, and help communities build greater economic resilience.
