# MIGenWeb - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `migenweb.org` ## Description MIGenWeb is a dedicated volunteer organization that serves as a rich resource for genealogy and history in Michigan. Affiliated with USGenWeb®, the platform offers a wealth of free information related to Michigan's diverse heritage, including data on counties, historical places, and significant projects. With a commitment to preserving the genealogy of the state, MIGenWeb welcomes new volunteers and encourages visitors to contribute information to enhance its archives. In honor of former state coordinator Jan Cortez, who sadly passed away in April 2022, the organization continues to expand and adapt under the leadership of Colleen Pustola. Michigan’s history is deeply intertwined with its Native American roots, particularly the Three Fires tribes: the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Pottawatomi. The platform not only offers access to historical records but also serves as a message board for community discussions and research assistance. Through its volunteer-driven efforts, MIGenWeb aims to connect individuals with their Michigan ancestry and foster a sense of community among history enthusiasts. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Ancestry and Genealogy _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/migenweb.org) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idLMKJSrDd/w/55/h/55/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1750356097215) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Resolution Blue | #00237f | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
