## Description

MikaDoe provides tailored observation, advice, and individual support for children with disabilities in the Breda and Tilburg area. Founded by Elke, a child and adolescent psychology graduate with experience in care settings, the service aims to understand the underlying causes of a child’s challenges and build support around the child’s abilities and wellbeing.

Support generally begins with an intake conversation and observation, which inform an individual plan. MikaDoe offers play training to explore toys and ways to play, cooking coaching for children with autism and/or ADHD, and guidance in using supportive communication tools, including communication aids and gestures. Other services include suitable daytime activities that balance calming and active experiences, advice and training related to toilet learning, and support to strengthen independence and everyday living skills. MikaDoe can also introduce appropriate aids to make skills easier to perform.

The approach focuses on seeing the child as an individual and selecting methods that fit their needs. MikaDoe is based in Dongen and invites families to arrange a no-obligation introductory conversation.
