## Description

Mikey’s Wish Foundation is a charity dedicated to supporting people with speech, language and communication needs, with a particular focus on Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). The foundation works to advance health and provide relief for people affected by these needs, while helping families access the support and information they need. Its work is rooted in personal experience: founder Mikey Akers MBE was diagnosed with verbal dyspraxia as a young child and began raising awareness as a teenager after seeing how difficult it could be for families to find appropriate therapy.

The foundation offers speech and language therapy, specialist training for therapists, and informational resources. It also raises public awareness of communication difficulties and the impact they can have on individuals and families. Through its website, supporters can learn about the charity, explore its news and resources, and make donations to help its work. Mikey’s Wish brings together trustees and supporters with a shared commitment to improving access to therapy, understanding communication needs, and helping people find their voice.
