## Description

Mikovíniho dom is a brand that embodies over 700 years of evolution in the form of a bourgeois house. Owned by Samuel Mikovíni (1700 – 1750) in the mid-18th century, an exceptional polymath representing the most progressive intellectual, creative, and scientific currents in the former Kingdom of Hungary. Mikovíni was primarily known as a geodesist, cartographer, mathematician, engraver, designer, builder, and mechanical engineer. As the first professor of the newly established Banska Academy from 1735, he lectured in the very building that is now known as Mikovíniho dom. This academy was the world's first technical university. The restoration of Mikovíniho dom will focus on revitalizing its historical architectural essence, valuable details, and surrounding garden. Explore the heritage of Mikovíniho dom and delve into a world where innovation meets tradition.
