## Description

Miles for Smiles is a charitable running event organised by vzw Miles for Smiles in Bruges, Belgium. It brings runners and supporters together for a lively evening of sport, music and fundraising at the BMCC. Participants can run individually or form teams of up to four, taking turns to complete as many one-mile (1.6-kilometre) laps as possible during a two-hour run.

Before the event, each team chooses one of eight supported charities. The miles completed contribute to the amount raised for that cause, linking participation directly to fundraising. Along the course, runners and spectators can enjoy entertainment, music and DJs, while food and drinks add to the event atmosphere. After the run, attendees can stay for an after-party featuring DJs and other acts.

Miles for Smiles also shares event information, photographs and videos, and offers partnership opportunities for organisations interested in supporting future editions. The event has drawn around 2,500 participants in a previous edition, who together completed 7,559 miles and raised €50,000 for charity.
