## Description

MILIEUX DU MONDE is a publishing house focused on Asia and maritime spaces, with an editorial scope that also encompasses geology, geography, geopolitics, the maritime world and its surrounding regions. Its stated aim is to deepen knowledge of the world through the circulation of books and maps. The brand publishes a quarterly journal, MILIEUX DU MONDE, bringing together work that has marked current affairs, including analyses, profiles, opinion pieces and perspectives on major subjects. Alongside the journal, its publishing catalogue features books exploring history, places and cultural identities. A recent title, Toulon dévergondée, la Basse-Ville (années 1880-1980), examines the history of Toulon’s former port district through archival imagery and accounts by authors familiar with the city and its maritime history. The website also offers commentary on current events from around the world and across Eurasia, drawing on reports from international news sources. Through its books, maps, journal and editorial coverage, MILIEUX DU MONDE presents a varied perspective on regions, maritime environments and global affairs.
