## Description

Milites Friderici II is a historical reenactment association and company of arms founded in 2004. Based in a region shaped by the legacy of Emperor Frederick II, including the imposing Swabian Castle in Oria, the group brings the past to life through historically themed experiences. Its main focus is the period from the 11th to the 13th centuries, with activities extending into the 14th century. The association aims to make history engaging beyond the pages of books, combining living history with educational and public outreach presented in a qualified, documented manner. Visitors can explore its encampment and attend educational activities, demonstrations, shows and combat performances. The group’s areas of interest also include historical tailoring, apothecary practices, the work of an armourer, hunting and traditional crafts. Through these activities, Milites Friderici II offers audiences an immersive glimpse into medieval life and material culture, creating opportunities to encounter the customs, skills and atmosphere of the era associated with Frederick II and the wider medieval world.
