## Description

The Millennium Project is a global participatory think tank that aims to improve humanity's prospects for building a better future. Established in 1996 and becoming independent in 2009, it has grown to encompass 73 Nodes worldwide, which are groups that connect local and global perspectives. Their purpose is to improve thinking about the future and make that thinking available through various media for feedback, accumulating wisdom to make better decisions today. The Millennium Project envisions a global foresight network comprising Nodes, information, and software, creating a global collective intelligence system recognized for its ability to enhance humanity's prospects. As a think tank for humanity, not aligned with any government, issue, or ideology, The Millennium Project's accomplishments include a system for collective thinking on the future, a framework to understand global change, educational contributions, a system to measure global progress, and the largest collection of future exploration methods. They also offer workshops, training, presentations, and publications to facilitate engagement and dissemination of their research and findings.
