## Description

Mill Iron Ranch is a locally owned and operated ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where the Wheeldon family has continued a four-generation tradition of welcoming visitors since the business began in 1921. Set in Horse Creek Valley and bordered on three sides by Bridger-Teton National Forest, the ranch offers a distinctive setting for outdoor activities and a glimpse of traditional cowboy life.

Visitors can book horseback trail rides from May 15 through September 24. The ranch describes these as Jackson Hole’s only true mountain horseback trail rides, with horses born and raised on the property. In December, weather permitting, guests can enjoy evening sleigh rides through a rustic Wyoming landscape, with views of the mountains and more than 1,800 elk. The ranch also offers fishing, hunting and camping experiences, sharing the area’s outdoor opportunities with Jackson visitors. Owned by Chancy Wheeldon and operated with his family, Mill Iron Ranch combines scenic recreation with personal hospitality.
