## Description

Milton Evergreen Cemetery is a non-profit, non-denominational cemetery owned and operated by the Milton Cemetery Company, established in 1880 to serve the local community. Its first burial took place in 1881. Today, elected volunteer board members oversee the cemetery’s affairs and the care of its grounds. Set across 26 acres in Milton, Ontario, Evergreen provides a peaceful, park-like setting for remembrance, reflection, and visits. More than 8,600 burials have taken place on the site, which has expanded over the years to its current size.

The cemetery offers a range of interment and memorial options, including burial plots, a crematorium, a columbarium, a scattering garden, memorial trees, and tree carvings and sculptures. Its services include grounds care and maintenance, a care and maintenance fund, grave plantings, and support for families who choose to tend plots themselves or arrange care from the grounds crew. Visitors can explore the cemetery map and use an online searchable database to find interments and memorials.
