## Description

MSU Extension’s MI Money Health program provides education and practical resources to help Michigan residents strengthen their financial well-being and make informed decisions about money and homeownership. Its offerings cover money management, foreclosure prevention, buying a home, retirement planning, scam awareness and other financial topics. Certified housing and money management counselors deliver trusted, unbiased guidance designed to be clear and accessible, regardless of a participant’s financial circumstances.

Residents can access online and in-person classes, webinars, self-paced learning materials, articles, publications, videos, events and support from financial or housing experts. MSU Extension also offers foreclosure assistance and can provide one-time community presentations on emerging issues. Topics include preparing financially to rent and understanding family considerations around passing on personal possessions. Through its university programs and resources, the organization aims to give every Michigan resident the opportunity to participate in personal finance and homeownership education. Its services help individuals and families navigate financial decisions, understand common best practices and find relevant support at different stages of life.
