## Description

Mindful Therapy PDX is a Portland counseling practice established in 2013 by Ronald L. Johnson, a licensed professional counselor and certified alcohol and drug counselor. It offers individual, couples, and adjunctive therapy for adults seeking support with substance use, anxiety, depression, anger, relationship distress, trauma, chronic pain, behavioral addictions, and other concerns. Services also address life coaching, spirituality, climate change anxiety, and post-psychedelic reintegration.

The practice combines talk therapy with mindfulness-based methods, including meditation, stress reduction, yoga therapy, and relapse prevention. Its holistic approach draws on humanistic, cognitive, presence-centered, and transpersonal perspectives, and incorporates insights from diverse cultural and spiritual traditions. Clients work toward greater self-awareness, healthier responses to stress and conflict, and long-term personal growth. Support may also include reviewing educational, occupational, relationship, or physical wellness goals.

Mindful Therapy PDX offers confidential individual sessions, couples counseling, and short-term sessions involving a friend or relative when useful. It accepts several health plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Moda, Optum, OHP, Providence, and Regence Blue Cross.
