## Description

Mind on the Mat is a modern Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) academy in Cornwall, built around the belief that structure, support and a sense of belonging can help people make positive changes. Through training and community, the organisation aims to help people develop confidence, discipline, connection and fitness, both on and off the mat.

The Academy offers structured coaching for people seeking to build skills and make progress in BJJ. Membership also contributes to the work of the Mind on the Mat Foundation, helping create wider pathways into movement, support and community. The Foundation offers movement-led support, mentoring and community pathways for people who may benefit from greater connection and structure.

Mind on the Mat is designed as more than a place to train: members and supporters can take part by joining the Academy, supporting the Foundation, donating or getting involved in events and other community activities. Whether people come to train or seek ways to contribute, the organisation brings these efforts together around a shared purpose: helping more people find confidence, connection and a stronger sense of belonging.
