## Description

Minéka is an organization dedicated to giving construction materials a second life and reducing waste from the building sector. Since 2016, it has promoted a local, community-minded approach to reuse, serving professionals and the wider public in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Its Villeurbanne materials center, Minéstock, sells recovered construction materials at solidarity-minded prices and is open to everyone several days a week. An online catalogue helps visitors check available stock.

For building professionals, Minéka offers a collection service that retrieves reusable surplus materials from worksites, including excess stock, ordering mistakes and unsold items. Its specialist consultancy supports project owners and design teams in incorporating reuse, from early planning and assessments through technical and insurance-related review to construction monitoring. The organization also provides professional training and awareness sessions for project owners, architects, engineering firms, social housing providers and technical inspectors. These services help participants understand how to develop reuse in their projects.
