## Description

Catalog of Minerals is an online information and community platform focused on minerals, rocks, gemstones, geology, and mineral deposits. Its mineralogical forum brings together collectors, enthusiasts, and people interested in geological sciences to share knowledge, ask questions, and discuss discoveries. Members can seek help identifying minerals from photographs, explore topics in gemology and jewelry, and exchange information about stone processing, equipment, and collecting.

The forum also covers regional geology, with dedicated discussions on areas including the Urals, Crimea, the Kola Peninsula, the North Caucasus, and Donbas and the Azov region. Other sections address geological news, literature and maps, legislation affecting mineral resources, software and GIS tools, field trips, geological tourism, exhibitions, and professional opportunities. Users can browse discussions about buying, selling, and exchanging mineral specimens, as well as announcements and community events.

Alongside its forum, Catalog of Minerals provides sections for mineral and deposit information, geological news, collections, and stone shops.
