Quub, Inc. Our mission is to create a better world through better data. We're passionate about promoting space science in classrooms, challenging the norms of satellite construction and operation, and having some fun along the way.

At Quub, we take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Our team consists of dreamers, makers, and doers who constantly ask why? We believe in the power of open-source projects and prioritize hands-on research and development methods to stay flexible and progressive in our field. Our journey began in 2013 when our founder, Joe Latrell, discovered the PocketQube standard for microsatellites and decided to build his own.

After overcoming initial obstacles, he successfully designed and built the world's smallest functional Earth observation satellite named Discovery. Though she never flew due to licensing issues, Joe persisted and went on to create larger designs. In 2018, we incorporated as Mini-Cubes, LLC and expanded our engineering team.

Despite setbacks like failed launches, we rebranded as Quub and grew even further. Today, our team includes talented individuals who specialize in various fields. Quub has developed efficient processes for designing, building, testing, launching, and operating multiple satellite builds.

We have on-site facilities for 3D printing, engineering, testing, cleanrooms, and offices. Our dedication and progress have led to securing contracts with government and commercial entities, bringing us closer to our ultimate goal of having a fleet of PocketQube satellites in orbit to monitor climate change's impacts on Earth. Keep an eye out for our upcoming launches in early 2023, as we continue to make strides in space exploration.
