## Description

The Minster Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, interpreting, preserving, and sharing the rich history and artifacts of Minster and the surrounding area. Through an array of exhibits, programs, and publications, they offer an immersive experience that allows visitors to delve into the past. Since its establishment in 1976, the Society has been run entirely by volunteers, with museum displays and genealogical records available for public use at no cost. Over the years, they have expanded their space, moving from the local library to their current location in a portion of the police department building. This move has enabled them to increase their exhibits and receive more donated artifacts for preservation. Notably, the Minster Historical Society boasts a permanent room dedicated to Home Town Heroes, showcasing artifacts from local police, fire, rescue, and military veterans. In addition, they have recently unveiled Heritage Park, located adjacent to the museum. As a non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation, the Minster Historical Society relies on tax-deductible donations from supporters to continue their important work. Follow them on Facebook to stay updated on upcoming exhibits and events.
