# Misericordia de Lagoa - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `misericordialagoa.pt` ## Description The Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lagoa is a charitable and social solidarity institution based in the municipality of Lagoa, in Portugal’s Algarve region. Established in the early seventeenth century, it is a religious brotherhood with both canonical and civil legal status, recognized as a public-benefit social solidarity organization. Guided by principles of humanism and Christian teaching, its mission is to serve people in need and uphold the traditional corporal and spiritual works of mercy. The institution’s services include home support, residential care for older people and a day centre. Its approach recognizes that each person experiences ageing differently and that social support can shape well-being. Accordingly, it aims to help older people carry out daily activities with quality while encouraging social participation and enabling them to play an active role in their own development and well-being. The Santa Casa may also work with public authorities, local organizations, other charitable institutions and domestic or international partners to support and develop its social services. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Geriatric and Aging Care _(under Health)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ ## Links - [youtube](https://youtube.com/channel/UCHg2TcDAMrEKpm106xa8LqA) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/scmlagoa) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/scmlagoa) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idm9HrP1pF/w/2182/h/594/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790802193445) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idm9HrP1pF/w/2048/h/2048/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790802194016) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Bay of Many | #234a86 | accent | | Tangaroa | #041f47 | dark | | Goldenrod | #ffcb70 | light | ## Fonts - var(--porto-body-ff) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
