## Description

Missione Calcutta APS ETS is an independent charitable organisation founded in 1992 following a meeting between its founder and Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Based in Bergamo, Italy, and Kolkata, India, it works to support children, families and communities through development and humanitarian projects. Its activities extend across India, Kenya, Thailand, Somalia and other locations, with initiatives also supporting people in Italy and responding to emergencies.

The organisation’s work focuses on education and training, healthcare, clean water and hygiene, food security, and assistance for children and their families. Its programmes include distance sponsorship, which helps provide children with education, medical care and food, as well as university support for students in India. Donations also fund medical services and meals for children at local centres and schools. In Italy, Missione Calcutta organises fundraising and practical aid distributions. Supporters can contribute through one-time or monthly donations, gifts, corporate partnerships, volunteering and Italy’s five-per-thousand tax designation.
