## Description

Mission Mariposa is a collective of adolescent and young adult cancer survivors working to empower others, share personal stories, and destigmatize conversations about cancer. Powered by Discovery to Cure Foundation, the organization creates content and community experiences that support and educate people affected by the cancer experience. Its work includes the Butterfly Box, a curated care package designed to bring joy, encourage creativity, and inspire confidence. People can sign up to receive a box or donate one to someone else. Mission Mariposa also presents At the End of a Dance, a short documentary following a 21-year-old college student as she documents life after an ovarian cancer diagnosis and finds healing through dance. Through community events, online connections, and storytelling, the organization invites survivors to share experiences, find support, and build understanding around cancer diagnoses. Individuals can get involved by joining its community, connecting through Discord, supporting its work, donating, or inviting Mission Mariposa to an event. Its projects aim to foster connection and help young survivors find their wings.
