## Description

MISS READ is a Berlin-based art book fair and festival founded in 2009, dedicated to artists’ books, conceptual publications, and publishing as an artistic, political, and poetic practice. It brings together independent publishers, artists, and readers to support experimental publishing, critical discourse, and diverse creative communities. Its international gathering features exhibitors from around the world and provides a platform for discovering independently produced books and publications.

Alongside the fair, MISS READ presents a public program of lectures, panel discussions, performances, readings, and book launches that explores contemporary publishing and the boundaries between visual art and literature. The event also hosts Conceptual Poetics Day, focused on connections between language, literature, and art, as well as pre-fair workshops and radio broadcasts developed with Station of Commons. Through initiatives including BIPOC Support Grants, MISS READ directs resources to artists and independent publishers. Its work champions bibliodiversity: the variety of voices, formats, and perspectives that sustain independent publishing and resist cultural homogenization.
