MISSSEY is a brand that provides a safe space for healing and empowerment. They acknowledge the ongoing harm that Black girls face due to the intersecting systems of racism, capitalism, and patriarchy. One of the main areas where this harm occurs is in the educational system, where school administrators disproportionately target Black girls for punitive measures.

This sets them on a trajectory of limited opportunities and exposure to violence. Additionally, Black girls experience a higher rate of incarceration and are often victims of sexual exploitation and violence due to the sexualization of their bodies. MISSSEY aims to address these issues and provide support through their programs and services.

They offer intensive case management, a drop-in center called STaR, the Thrive Initiative, community volunteers, and a training institute.
