With a history dating back to 1970, MNP is dedicated to testing, protecting, and promoting new flower varieties. Their membership includes breeders, producers, and distributors of ornamental plants.

For over 50 years, MNP has brought industry professionals together to test and evaluate new pot and bedding plants, promote award winners, protect member varieties, and contribute to the overall advancement of the industry. They offer various activities such as trials and awards, including the prestigious Gold Medal & Approved Novelty trials, where entries are evaluated by expert judges based on criteria like innovation and garden performance. MNP is also known for their FleuroStar Contest, an annual event where over 30 industry experts score varieties based on visual impact and commercial potential.

Winners of this contest receive the esteemed FleuroStar Award. Based in Voorhout, The Netherlands, MNP serves as a hub for networking, information sharing, and advancement within the ornamental plants industry
